Wine Tasting Day Trips in Tuscany

A good wine tasting is typically a short set time for consumers to go to a wine store and try out a few different, possibly locally produced wines. The objective for both the store or winery is usually to let people engage with different wines in hopes of making a sale. Since not everyone who visits has the same taste or style in wine, not everyone will enjoy the same wines. This is where the fun starts.
One way you can have a great time at Chianti wine tasting (degustazione vino chianti) room is by taking a grapevine tour. Instead of visiting a winery you could instead tour a vineyard and see how it is grown. This is one of the best ways to learn how grapes are grown and cared for and might even get you to meet some of the people who make the wine! Most vineyards offer private wine tasting rooms and you don’t need a special license to tour their vineyard. On top of that many of them have private gift shops where you can pick up some gifts to take home with you.
If you are looking for a fun, educational day trip, consider taking two hours south of Florence to Siena. Siena is located on the west side of Tuscany and is one of the winemaker’s regions on the Tuscany map, so there is plenty to see and do while you’re there. A two hours drive south of Florence will give you enough time to see two to three wine regions and maybe even spend a night in a five-star hotel if you want.
